Update March: Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training – Begins This Autumn

​

Dear Yogis,

We are exited to invite you to our 220-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training, starting in September 2025. This seven-month journey blends in-person weekends in Frankfurt with online study and guided practice. While an optional retreat in Rishikesh, India, will be offered as part of the training, participation in the India journey is not mandatory. The retreat is tentatively scheduled for late February to early March 2026, and we will finalise the details together as we progress through the training.

Spring and summer offer an ideal opportunity to prepare for this transformative experience. These months are a great time to deepen your practice before beginning the training in autumn. In addition to the monthly open sessions starting in May 2025, where you can learn more about the training, ask questions, and explore whether this path resonates with you, we will also have opportunities to meet at various yoga festivals over the summer. Plus, there will be numerous in-person classes, along with the existing online offerings, to further support your practice and connection to the community.

EVOLUTION it's an opportunity to deepen your personal practice, refine your understanding of Kundalini Yoga, and develop the tools to share this ancient wisdom with others. Rooted in yogic philosophy, breathwork, meditation, and conscious movement, this program is designed for practitioners of all levels: beginners, experienced yogis, and teachers from any discipline seeking to expand their knowledge.

What Does It Mean to Be a Yoga Teacher?

Teaching yoga is not just about leading classes. It is about creating a space for personal transformation, fostering a deeper connection with oneself, and guiding others on their path. This program will equip you with the technical skills to teach kriyas, asanas, pranayama, and meditation while also cultivating the confidence and presence needed to hold space for others.

More Than Teaching—A Path of Evolution

Kundalini Yoga is a practice of transformation, and this training will explore the many facets of evolution—physical, mental, energetic, and spiritual. We will examine how a steady yoga practice enhances personal growth and provides tools for navigating change with resilience and awareness. You will gain insights into designing your own practice, choosing kriyas for self-development, and integrating yoga into daily life.

COURSE STRUCTURE & CONTENT 

 

This 220-hour certified training unfolds over seven months, blending in-person sessions in Frankfurt with online study. Throughout the training, myself and a team of guest teachers will support you in developing your practice across all aspects—asana, meditation, theory, and more—ensuring a rich and diverse learning experience. Participants will also have the option to deepen their journey with an immersion retreat in Rishikesh, India, though participation in the retreat is not mandatory.

Throughout the Course, We Will Explore:

​

✔ The Science of Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga is a precise system of breathwork, movement, and meditation designed to awaken the dormant potential energy (Kundalini Shakti) within. This course offers a structured understanding of:

​

  • Kriyas – Dynamic sequences that combine movement, breath, and focus to refine energy flow.

  • Asanas – Postures that create physical and energetic alignment, supporting the balance of prana.

  • Pranayama – Breath control techniques from classical yoga and Kundalini traditions, including Nadi Shodhana(alternate nostril breathing), Bhastrika (bellows breath), Sitali (cooling breath), and Breath of Fire.

  • Bandhas & Mudras – Energetic locks and gestures that amplify awareness and transformation.

  • Mantra & Naad Yoga – The vibrational science of sound and its impact on the mind and nervous system.

This module provides the foundation to experience, understand, and teach Kundalini Yoga with precision and depth.

✔ Western & Yogic Anatomy
The physical and energetic bodies are interconnected, and this training bridges modern anatomical knowledge with traditional yogic wisdom:

​

  • Western Anatomy – Understanding muscles, joints, fascia, and how asanas affect the nervous system, endocrine system, and circulation.

  • Yogic Anatomy – Exploring the flow of energy through prana, nadis, chakras, and koshas, and their role in self-healing and mental clarity.

  • The Subtle Body – Studying the five koshas (layers of existence) and how they shape our experience of the world.

  • The Role of the Nervous System – The balance between sympathetic activation (effort, willpower) and parasympathetic relaxation (deep rest, meditation) in yogic practice.

By integrating these perspectives, we create a holistic understanding of the body as an instrument for awareness and transformation.

✔ Yogic Philosophy & Texts
This training is deeply rooted in the classical teachings of yoga, drawing wisdom from foundational texts such as:

​​

  • The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali – The Eightfold Path (Ashtanga Yoga) as a guide to ethical living, self-discipline, and meditative absorption (Samadhi).

  • The Yoga Upanishads – Exploring the esoteric wisdom of prana, kundalini, and self-realization.

  • Advaita Vedanta – The philosophy of non-dualism, understanding the nature of the self (Atman) beyond the material world.

  • The Hatha Yoga Pradipika & Gheranda Samhita – The science of physical and energetic purification through asanas, mudras, pranayama, and bandhas.
    And more texts will be reviewed through our training
     

Through these texts, we will delve into the purpose of yoga as a means to inner freedom (Moksha), the refinement of the mind (Chitta Vritti Nirodha), and the journey toward self-mastery.

✔ The Mind & Meditation
Meditation is at the heart of all yogic traditions, providing a direct experience of stillness and insight. This training will cover:

​

  • The Science of the Mind (Manas, Buddhi, Ahamkara) – Understanding how thought patterns shape our perception and experience.

  • Dhyana (Meditation) in Classical Yoga – Exploring meditation as described in the Yoga Sutras, Upanishads, and Kundalini traditions.

  • Techniques for Mental Clarity – Mantra meditation, breath-based concentration, and techniques for cultivating Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses) and Dharana (focused awareness).

  • The Power of Thought & Visualization – How sankalpa (intention) and focused meditation create transformation.

  • States of Consciousness – Exploring waking, dreaming, deep sleep, and turiya (pure awareness) in the context of yogic practice.

Through direct experience, study, and guided practice, this module provides practical tools for cultivating mental stillness, intuition, and self-awareness.

HYBRID TRAINING FORMAT
  • 7 in-person weekends in Frankfurt (with online Friday sessions)

  • 14 online classes (2 hours each) covering key topics

  • 3 x 3 Hours Workshops & student-led practice teaching

  • Mentoring & final certification exam

  • Optional Rishikesh Retreat Dates to be arranged

CERTIFICATION & MEMBERSHIP

Graduates will receive an internationally recognized certification from the World Yoga Alliance. During training, you will have access to 20 online yoga sessions per month, and a  35% discount on Oscar Yogacollective online workshops, and opportunities for mentorship and continued learning.

​

FEES & PAYMENT OPTIONS

As of Januarys  2025, training fees have been reduced by 10% to 2080€. A 500€ deposit secures your place, with flexible payment plans available.

Dates:
The weekend sessions are scheduled for the last weekend of each month, except for December, which will take place on the second weekend.

Workshops and online sessions will be arranged with the students as we progress through the training. Workshops are 3-4 hours each and will be held on weekends.
